I am highly qualified with a wide range of Level 3 Diploma canine
qualifications, including the essential canine first aid certification, these
canine qualifications will be shown to you during the consultation. The
council licence inspector highlighted that I was the most qualified dog
boarder in the area, which is excellent for my customers as they can relax on
holiday knowing their dog is in the safest hands and receiving a professional
level of care.
E S Pet Care is five star licensed by Somerset council, we met every standard
at the highest level, this is the highest rating you can get, we have been five
star licensed since E S Pet Care was established in 2011. My home has been
fully inspected and all my paperwork checked by the council Inspector, we
have met all the higher standards and health and safety requirements. Our
licence number is A01/000354, and our licence certificate will be shown to
you during the consultation. We are fully insured with Cliverton who are the
leading insurer for Animal related Industries. Our insurance certificate will
be shown to you during the consultation.
We stand out from other dog boarding businesses, not only for our multiple
awards, five-star references, and for being a qualified canine specialist, but
because we only take on five dogs to board at a time, this allows my guest
dogs to have lots of one-to-one time, more time each for cuddles, love, walks,
and play. Guest numbers are limited so I can meet their needs, and provide
the personal care and attention they deserve. I am also a qualified specialist
puppy trainer so the dogs boarding also can have access to training for no
extra charge during their stay.
E S Pet Care offers home from home Luxury Dog Boarding for all types of
dogs, in a lovely newly refurbished four bedroom detached home in Monkton
Heathfield Taunton. We are easily accessed from the M5 motorway junction
25. We are a short walk from the canal, hills and countryside, which makes a
perfect location for our walks during your dog’s holiday. Visiting dogs stay in
my home with other friendly sociable dogs, many of which are regulars and
been on holiday with me for years.
Guest dogs live with me in my dog proof home, which they have full access to
day and night of the lounge, dining room, kitchen, conservatory, utility, and
fully secure garden. Visitors bring their own beds, but they also have access
to our beds and the sofa if they are allowed to go on the sofa. Meal times they
have their own room, so they can eat in peace and at their own pace. Bed time
they have their own room, or they share a room with the other visitors,
depending on what they would like to do. During the day we have walks, play,
enrichment, training, cuddles, love, and sleep time, I follow your dog’s
normal routine (which I find out during the consultation) to keep them happy
and settled. You will see photos of my home and where your dog will be
staying during the consultation.
I look after my guests 7 days a week, and 24 hours a day. I am a fully qualified
canine specialist who totally loves dogs, so when they are in my care, they
have the best time and they are most importantly safe. My prices reflect my
professional level of care. I charge a fixed rate of £45 per day. I offer a
discount for multiple dogs from the same family. This includes: training,
baths, grooming, laundry and medication, there is no extra charge for these
additions. I only accept a minimum of a 3-day booking due to demand for my
services. Guests can stay as long as they like, I have had dogs board for three
months before, it just makes it harder to say goodbye when they eventually go
home. A 50% non-refundable deposit is taken to secure your booking, with
the balance due 14 days before the holiday begins.
Our luxury dog boarding service includes a chauffeur collection and drop off
service (Taunton area only) in our luxury van which is fitted with air
conditioning, spacious crates, and a comfy bed each, so our guests travel in
safety and comfort. Dogs who live outside of Taunton, will need to be
dropped off and picked up by their owner. Pick up and drop offs are Monday
to Saturdays 9:30am-5:30pm, I do not accept pick up/drop offs on a Sunday,
Sundays I keep free for extra walk or cuddle time with our guests. Dogs settle
much quicker with the chauffeur service, they always jump out the van and
rush to my front door to get in and start their holiday.
After your initial enquiry, an in-depth consultation will take place where we
discuss in depth your dogs: Vet details and medical history; Emergency
contact details; Vaccination card check; Your dog’s Daily Routine; Holiday
dates/times; and more. You are also shown my licence certificate, insurance
certificate, awards, qualifications, and photos of my home of where your dog
will be staying. The dogs ‘Daily Routine’ is followed when they stay in order
to keep your dog happy and relaxed. If you live in Taunton, consultations will
take place in your home, so I can see your dog’s behaviour in their home
environment. Those who live outside of Taunton the consultation will take
place over the phone or in my home. I limit visits to my home as it is very
disruptive and can be unsettling to the dogs boarding, especially when I have
nervous dogs staying, instead photos of my home are seen during the
consultation and on my Facebook ‘E S Pet Care’ group. The
consultation/registration is a one-off fee of £30 and does not need to be
repeated for future holidays, instead owners just tell me of any changes and I
update their file.
Trial Stay – I offer a 24-hour sleep over, which is a legal licensing
requirement and has to be carried out by all licensed dog boarders, where
your dog/s come to my Holiday Home for two days and one night. This is a
legal requirement, it is to check the dog will be happy for larger holidays, and
it also puts clients’ minds at rest before a big holiday e.g. clients who have not
left their dog before. It enables me to see if your dog is settled and happy, and
how they interact with my dog Sky and any visiting dogs. Your dog then
comes bounding through the door in excitement for their actual holiday, as
they know what is happening!
All guests will need to be:
•
Fully vaccinated, and up to date with fleas worming and ticks. I do not
accept titre tested dogs. Kennel cough is the owner’s choice.
•
I do not accept entire males over the age of 6 months, or chemical
castrated dogs.
•
I accept entire bitches, but I cannot accept bitches in season.
•
Friendly and sociable with all other dogs.
•
Fully toilet trained and do not mark in the home.
•
Sleep downstairs happily.
•
Free from chewing furniture.
•
Friendly towards children.
•
I cannot accept dogs with separation anxiety.
What to Pack – Your dog needs to pack his/her suitcase too! They take all
their belongings from their bed, food, bowls, treats, lead, to their favourite
squeaky toy. This allows them to have their familiar smells, and emphasises
their home from home environment. All their belongings must be clean on
pick up for the wellbeing of all our visitors. Each dog comes with their own
food and treats, this is to prevent upset tummies and so I can follow any
dietary requirements.
